Mall Galleries champion new figurative art by living artists. Our aim is to promote, inspire and educate audiences about the contemporary visual arts.

Mall Galleries is a major contemporary gallery space in the heart of Central London, championing the work of new and established artists. For over 40 years Mall Galleries has played a crucial role in diversifying the practice of figurative art, exploring its boundaries while promoting, inspiring and educating audiences with new exhibitions and interpretations of the contemporary world.

Mall Galleries is operated by the Federation of British Artists, a major visual arts charity established in 1961. The Federation (FBA) comprises eight of the UK’s leading art societies, specialising in oil, portrait, marine, wildlife, watercolour and pastel. Each holds their annual exhibition at Mall Galleries. A unique national resource, the FBA has over 500 practising artists and is home to the largest life drawing society in London (Hesketh Hubbard Art Society).

The Galleries also organise or play host to many of the UK’s leading open art competitions, in particular The Threadneedle Prize, where new talent is discovered and existing reputations are enhanced.
