The Mall Galleries are the home of the Federation of British Artists, a national focal point for figuartive art. Three large galleries, which host exhibitions year-round, are housed in the John Nash terrace overlooking St James's park at the Trafalgar Square end of the Mall.
The Galleries are run by the Federation of British Artists, the umbrella organisation for nine leading British art societies, all which hold their annual exhibitions on the premises. The Mall Galleries can also be hired for evening functions. Ongoing education events for children, families and adults also take place alongside exhibtions at the Mall Galleries.
Venue Type:
Gallery
The Mall Galleries are one of the few places where works of art by leading living artists are displayed alongside that by lesser-known artists. Each of the member societies holds their annual exhibition here as well as many competitions and open exhibitions such as the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times water colour competition, the Discerning Eye and the Not the Turner Prize as well as one man shows.
