The Storey Gallery in Lancaster is an independent artist-centred gallery which commissions, promotes and presents a programme of contemporary visual art by artists of national and international significance.

The programme includes exhibitions, off-site research projects, talks on art, projects with schools, temporary projects in public spaces, and professional development for artists. All aspects of the programme aim to foster and stimulate critical debate and reflection, both about contemporary art and a range of intellectual and social issues.

The splendid gallery is located in the Storey Institute, a Victorian building which now includes the Storey Creative Industries Centre.
