Wysing Arts Centre is a unique centre set on the eleven acre site of a former farm, eight miles south-west of Cambridge. It offers a year-round programme of exhibitions and installations as well as affordable studio space for emerging artists, and international artist residencies. It values innovation, experimentation and participation and aims to offer everyone opportunities to engage with and enjoy the best in contemporary visual art.

The Starry Reubric Set

5 February — 18 March 2012 *on now

A group exhibition that considers classical astrology as a device to bring together new work produced by artists-in-residence during 2011, and to introduce the three themes of our programme for 2012: The Cosmos, The Mirror and The Forest.
Artists include: Marolijn Dijkman, Ruth Beale, Nicholas Deshayes, Rob Filby, Karin Kihlberg & Reuben Henry, Kate Owens, Laure Prouvost, Giles Round, Hilary Koob-Sassen, John Latham, Francesco Pedraglio, Cally Spooner and Emma Smith.
The preview on the 4th February 6-8pm includes live performaces and the launch of a new publication by An Endless Supply.

The Starry Reubric Set Events and Performance Day

10 March 2012

A day long series of performances and events including The Government of the First and Thirteenth Chair, the performance of a play by John Latham as re-interpreted by Mark Aerial Waller.
Francesco Pedraglio, Emma Smith and Cally Spooner will also present new live works, interspersed with a screening programme for a phosphorescent screen curated in collaboration with LUX.
