One of several websites digitising one man's letters home during World War One, Arthur's Letters details the correspondence of one Arthur Dease, a well to do Irishman who volunteered for the Ambulance Service on the Western Front.

Writing to his mother between February 1915 and December 1918, the letters provide a fascinating picture of life behind the lines in the field hospitals and aid stations, as the war raged and the casualties mounted. A fascinating and valuable alternative narrative of the Great War.
