Exhibition Preview: The Many Adventures of Enid Blyton, Seven Stories, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, until February 2014
Showcasing the history of well-loved classics such as Noddy, The Famous Five and The Secret Seven and revealing some new stories of magic and adventure to younger visitors, Seven Stories' latest exhibition is rekindling fond memories of Enid Blyton’s classic children’s books.
It features some extraordinary treasures from the museum's collection and tours of the archive are offering serious afficianados the "white glove" experience.
For younger visitors there are quizzes and storytelling and a Famous Five treasure hunt is also planned, with Blyton characters on every floor. Previously unseen material is revealed in showcase spaces and hands on opportunities even let you have a go at producing some new works.
The accompanying event programme includes the chance to meet the team behind the exhibition, ask questions and learn about the conservation of precious Blyton illustrations and manuscripts for future generations.
