Festival: Chiswick House Camellia Festival 2012, Chiswick House Gardens, London, February 18 –March 18 2012

A chance to see a rare and historically important flower in bloom this month as The Chiswick House and Gardens Trust celebrate the Camellia with an annual festival in their spectacular Georgian conservatory.

The collection at Chiswick House includes camellias that descend from the original planting in 1828, as well as the unique Middlemist’s Red - one of only two in the world known to exist.

New features for 2012 include the replanting of the restored Italian Garden, new Camellia displays by specialist nursery Trehane and the chance to meet experts for advice on how to grow and care for the flower at home.
