New Shire horse Major is set to join the team at the Weald and Downland Museum and is sure to be a hit with visitors.
He will join teammates Neville and Mac in performing seasonal tasks throughout the year at the museum of historic buildings and traditional rural life.
Major, a beautiful bay Shire is 9 years old standing 16.3 hands high, will be making his debut at the Museum’s spectacular Heavy Horse and Working Animals Show on Saturday June 5 and Sunday June 6.
“We are delighted that Major has joined the team of Shires, and are looking forward to watching him progress to become a key member of the team, and a real delight for visitors over the next few months,” said Henry Warner, Head of Operations at the Museum.
