Gold, chessmen and a 37-metre 11th century warship: Vikings at the British Museum

The British Museum is about to launch its first exhibition devoted to the Vikings for more than 30 years

The show, which concentrates on the period between the 8th and 11th centuries, has been developed with the National Museum of Denmark and the National Museums group in Berlin.
