Museums and heritage sites across Scotland will open their doors for free as part of this year's St Andrew's day celebrations.
Admission fees will be waived at 47 Historic Scotland sites during the weekend of November 28 and 29, and for St Andrew's day itself, on November 30, Edinburgh Castle will throw open its doors for free, allowing visitors to view the nations' Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny.
Michael Russell, The Minister for Culture, challenged the public to make the most of the two-day venture.
"We know that people have seen it as a personal or family challenge in the past to see how many they can tick off," he said. "It's on your marks for all Castle Baggers, Neolithic Hunters and Abbey Seekers."
The weekend scheme attracted more than 35,000 visitors last year.
Texting "WEEKEND" to 84118 will reveal information about the closest participating attractions and opening times. A full list is available on the Historic Scotland website.
