Coventry City beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 to win the 1987 FA Cup
Coventry City fans have more reason than mere respite from the club’s current travails to dig out old videos of their finest hour.

Later this year, an exhibition at the city’s Herbert Art Gallery will honour the 25th anniversary of the club winning the FA Cup, and organisers are inviting films which would help “re-ignite the passion and euphoria” fans felt as they partied down Wembley way and after their return home.

“The home footage is an essential part of it,” says Richard Elms, the Herbert’s Head of Creative Media, appealing for contributions to the documentary at the heart of the show.

“It's the only way that we can actually see and experience what happened in 1987.

“We're looking for any videos of celebrations or parties taking place during the run-up to the final, at Wembley Stadium, the sing-a-longs on the coach to and from matches, the parade through Coventry or anything else you can think of to do with the cup-run and win".
