A magnificent Tudor river pageant will be taking place on the weekend of June 20 2009 to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne.
At 10am Henry and his Queen will board the Royal Shallop, Jubilant, at the Tower of London and will be accompanied up the Thames by a flotilla of boats to Hampton Court Palace.

You will be able to watch the splendid entourage from the riverbank between central London, through Richmond and down to Hampton Court.
The festivities will carry on at Hampton Court Palace where you can watch Tudor cooks at work in Henry VIII's kitchens, preparing a feast fit for a King which will be served at a royal party in the gardens so get ready to party like its 1509.
Sunday sees more frivolity at Hampton Court, where there will be Tudor fun and games on the river and another chance to meet the royal couple before they sail back down the river into London in the late afternoon.
