Would you be willing to dress up in period costume and act out the story of the Sutton Hoo treasure?
The BBC’s History Man Bryan McNerney has started work at The National Trust site at Sutton Hoo as a live interpretation officer and needs volunteers for the project.
Bryan hopes that the new interactive experience will help bring the history of the site to life for all the visitors.
He said: “The National Trust wants to give visitors a deeper understanding of the importance of Sutton Hoo, enabling them to have an authentic, emotional response to this special place.
“We want our visitors to stand amongst the hugely atmospheric burial mounds and be able to hear and see the distant voices and faces of the people who created the landscape.
“We want people to re-live the tremendous excitement of that last summer before the war when the treasure was first discovered.”
