Stableyard after hours

  • 13 May 2016 7-9pm

Come and join a host of nineteenth century estate staff as they guide you around this once-important part of the working Calke estate. You can enjoy family crafts, peek behind normally-closed doors and listen to the stories of the servants who worked here.

Meet George the Shire horse as he is untacked after a hard day's work on the Estate.

We will have "stable-lad's tipple" and "coachman's crust" refreshments on sale near the old Estate Brew house.

Dogs on leads are welcome. Meet at the Ticket Office. There is level access throughout apart from one first floor set of rooms

Suitable for

  • Any age
