Leicestershire’s award winning all-weather museum. Snibston is one of the largest and most dynamic museums in the Midlands. Here you can discover science and industry, fashion and textiles and the environment with popular "hands-on" exhibits interpreting real objects that tell the story of the working lives of Leicestershire people.

On the site of a former colliery, the museum displays a rich collection of historic objects telling the story of transport, mining and quarrying, engineering and the fashion industry. The Blind Fiddler - Home Entertainment 1806 - 2012

An exhibition brought together by artist Paul Conneally. Using the British masterpiece 'The Blind Fiddler' painted by David Wilkie in a Coleorton farmhouse kitchen in 1806 and now held in the TATE Collection, the exhibition will explore what families do together for home entertainment in 2012.
