The Gallery was originally built to house the Sir Alfred East painting collection which he gave to the Borough of Kettering in 1910. It now holds a significant collection of 19th and 20th century fine art by many notable British artists and the collection is a valuable resource for research and enjoyment alike. It is not possible to display all of the works in the collection at once. For specific queries, please contact the Gallery.

The Northamptonshire Guild of Designer Craftsmen is delighted to be exhibiting again at the Alfred East Art Gallery in Kettering.

A vast selection of high quality, hand-made and exclusive items are brought to you by the Guild, whose membership is made up of local designer-makers, selected for their exceptional standards of workmanship.

You will find furniture, ceramics, stained and slumped glass, jewellery, musical instruments, basketry, hand-weaving, embroidered textiles and more.

The works will be on show in time for Christmas, an ideal opportunity to buy distinctive gifts for yourself or a loved one.
