The Gallery was originally built to house the Sir Alfred East painting collection which he gave to the Borough of Kettering in 1910. It now holds a significant collection of 19th and 20th century fine art by many notable British artists and the collection is a valuable resource for research and enjoyment alike. It is not possible to display all of the works in the collection at once. For specific queries, please contact the Gallery.

Agatha Christie

'The Life & Crimes of Agatha Christie' by Steve Dimmer

Steve Dimmer examines the writer's life, beginning with the creation of Hercule Poirot in 1920, through the golden age of detective fiction, the emergence of Miss Marple until Agatha Christie became the indisputable 'Queen of Crime'. Along the way, we'll be looking at the real-life mystery involving the novelist's actual disappearance and perhaps try to solve this intriguing puzzle.

Collage & Beyond with Ian Luck

A practical one day workshop exploring and encouraging collage as an art form and seeing how far ideas can be developed.

Subjects covered will include preparing materials, staining and distressing papers, plus layering techniques with torn and found papers.

Basic material will be provided, with the aim for all to complete a finished work.
