A listings website for contemporary visual art produced by the Visual Arts Forum in Newcastle and Gateshead, LOCATOR ART is also intended to be a platform for debate and information sharing that brings together audiences, artists and curators. Launched in 2008 and still gathering up organisations in the North East, this fledgling initiative shows the potential that exists for visual arts communities to organise and represent themselves.
