Railway On The Roof Of The World

In 2007 photographer Charlie Stewart made the journey from Beijing to Lhasa to explore and photograph the Lhasa Railway. Along the way he documented the experiences of those working and travelling on the line, as well as those who live beside the tracks. The result is this photographic travelogue - an online exhibition hosted by the National Railway Museum as part of their China 08 season - until January 5 2009.
