Canadian photographic artist Shari Hatt is searching for 96 UK-based canines to take part in a forthcoming exhibition at Public Gallery in West Bromwich.

The artist is offering a portrait service at a price of £50, reduced from the usual fee of £1,500 - £3,000 and a selection of the 96 portraits will form part of an exhibition at Public Gallery next year.

Caitlin Griffiths, project curator, said: “We are really excited to have Shari here for the first ever live Dog Portrait Studio outside Canada.”

“What is also fantastic and truly democratic about this process is the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for British dog lovers and owners to acquire an original piece of valuable artwork for a small amount of money.”
