Huyton Gallery's Christmas exhibition is the result of an experiment carried out by Steffan Jones Hughes.

For Making A Difference (M.A.D.) the Wigan-based artist worked across ten communities in Huyton exploring with the participants of all ages what it meant to live there.

Through a series of participatory workshops new work was created to capture the spirit of the people and their contribution to the regeneration of a once depressed area.

The exhibition uses animation, cartoons, portraits and interactive spaces to explore community issues and the role of local people. The exhibition is on until January 21.
