For all the fine writing to be enjoyed in a Saturday edition of the Guardian, one bold little picture usually ends up being as pointed as any opinion piece.

Jon Link and Mick Bunnage, aka comic conspirators Modern Toss, have always kept things acerbic with their to-the-point weekly cartoon, ranging from the sweary genius of Mr Tourette to painfully observant portrayals of the real thought bubbles happening in offices everywhere.

A week before the peak of Museums at Night 2012, the campaign has had the honour of being the subject of their latest mini masterpiece.

And as anyone who’s made the most of the bars certain museums temporarily introduce will agree, there’s usually an interesting story or two to be shared by the water cooler once the festival weekend is over.
