Sarah Beetson, The Seventh Seal (1957) Dream
Celebrating graphic art in all its forms, the inaugural edition of this contemporary fair and festival certainly has an interesting line-up.
East End gallery Nelly Duff bring Jessica Albarn (sister of Damon) and Barack Obama favourite Ben Eine, and Ship of Fools, visiting from the Netherlands, bring a trio of voyagers offering “art that has a nice set of balls”.
Spheres of a sporting kind are on the minds of 20-man collective Soho Warriors Football Club, although summarising the efforts of an entire art squad seems small fry compared to moving a 1930s proofing press into Somerset House, which is exactly what East London letterpress A Two Pipe Problem has done.
Between now and the end of the exhibition you can pick up affordable pieces from an impressively diverse cast list.
And if you’re not looking to buy, the likes of Danish family crest creator Jody Barton and Elle magazine art director Tom Meredith are among the experts popping in for an imaginative series of workshops and demonstrations promising plenty of surprises in store.
- Open 11am-8pm. Admission £8/£6 (multiple entry pass valid £12). Visit the fair online for full details.
