"What better place for a crazy golf course than the seaside?" asks the blurb accompanying these extraordinary holes. Fortunately, The Grundy Art Gallery's covered space means an English summer can't defy such suggestions

The holes include one in the shape of a builder's bum, by Gary Webb, a green monster created by Pete Fowler and a desert island shaped by Brian Griffiths

David Shrigley's hand-written statements begin the course. They include "Respect Your Opponent", "You Might be Stupid" and a reassurance that "Golf Isn't Boring"

Jonathan Allen and Ian Monroe's have a less cheerful underlying message. Allen targets lost cultural services with a boarded-up library, and Monroe highlights European economic uncertainty

Jake and Dinos Chapman's sculpture, of a saluting Adolf Hitler, is a reference to the humorous elements of the wartime spirit in Britain

Fishbone recreates the toppling of the statue of Saddam Hussein in Paradise Square, Baghdad, in 2003. The American artist's course will raise money for relief efforts in Haiti
- Adventureland Golf is at The Grundy Art Gallery until October 6 2012
