From lion coffins and giant textile fields you can lie down on (part of 12 installations at the V&A) to a sextet of design districts across the city, the ninth year of the London Design Festival will have found ways to inspire hundreds of thousands of visitors through more than 250 events by the time it closes this weekend...







Ecopink, at the Hub in King’s Cross, is an exhibition and shop. Launched in Milan, it features female designers who mix art and design to transform waste materials into jewellery, furniture, fashion and accessories.

St Paul's Cathedral hosts Perspectives, a metal and crystal hemisphere at the bottom of the Geometric Staircase with a reflective curve which enhances the view. Conceived by architect John Pawson, it reflects builder Christopher Wren's desire for his architecture to embrace science.

Pioneering Scandinavian home design brand Marimekko is celebrated with a pop-up shop at the flagship Heal’s store on Tottenham Court Road, featuring a limited edition sofa and armchair.
