Although born in the same year as this year's Turner Prize winner Martin Boyce, the Wilson sisters were in their early 30s when nominated for the award. They made the shortlist in 1999 - not for nothing were they dubbed Young British Artists.
It could seem that the YBA tag and the early near miss would burden the pair. But neither has done harm to the career of fellow nominee Tracey Emin. Winner Steve McQueen has, meanwhile, gone from strength to strength as a feature film director.
The Wilsons make film as well, but not the sort for which you might want to settle down with some popcorn. In the current show one finds a detailed meditation on the Dubai hotel room where a Hamas operative was assassinated. This plays out with a reel of CCTV footage of the crime which was released on Youtube by local police.
A second major takes the form of a series of photographs from Pripyat. The dubious claim to fame of this Russian town was the forced evacuation which took place here in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. Again, we find the work captivated by history seen in the light of architecture.
Both works were developed in the last couple of years, a purple streak which belies a 13-year old Prize nomination. Perhaps the Turner peaked early, not the Wilsons.
