King Edward Mine Museum is undercover and is a wet weather attraction.
The museum specialises in the mining history of Cornwall, and has many exhibits that illustrate the importance to the local area. The mill contains rare mining machinery from the early 1900s. The 1902 Californian Stamps have been restored to working order. The Round Frame is one of the only left in Cornwall and the mill contains the only known working rag frames. The new winder House contains the original 1898 winder and a 1870 Harvey compressor.

Mineral Tramways Exhibition
An exhibition highlighting the history of the Mineral Tramways is on display at King Edward Mine, the oldest complete mine site left in Cornwall. The exhibition is free to visit and gives a fascinating insight in to the rich heritage of the area which boasts the highest concentration of historic mine sites anywhere in the world. Why not combine a visit to King Edward Mine & the exhibition with a walk or ride on the trails. The Great Flat Lode trail passes by the entrance and is a good access point to explore the extended network of trails.

King Edward Mine and the Great Flat Lode
This event will look at the history of the mines along the Great Flat Lode. Using the restored Edward Mine Museum as an example, it will be explained how a tin mine about 1900 worked and then, at the Basset Mines, what can be seen and interpreted on surface today.

The Archaeology of the South Condurrow Mine
Based in the Survey Office, we shall be looking at the 19th century remains and learning how they can be interpreted using a combination of exploratory field walking, archival documents and plans.
Sensible footwear essential and waterproofs if wet or cold. Part of the Couincil for British Archaeology's Festival Of Archaeology Week.
