NN is a contemporary art space in the centre of Northampton. We work with artists at all stages of their careers to present an international programme of contemporary art and multi-disciplinary events. We moved from our previous home at Fishmarket to become NN at Number Nine Guildhall Road in 2012 where as well as exhibitions we house artist studios, project space, education projects and cafe.

NN’s alternative Eurovision returns with it’s third edition of artists’ works from across the European Broadcast Area. Each year Boom Bang takes a slightly different format and this installment has invited selectors from across the EBA to pick artists for the project. The selectors are Jasmina Cibic (Slovenia), Virginija Januškevičiūtė (Lithuania), Filip Markiewicz (Luxembourg) and Katharina Stadler (Austria).

Each of the works involved music and moving image in its broadest sense. The programme takes us from Azerbaijan to Iceland via transposed 16mm film and looping GIFS, power ballads and agit pop to baleful folk, atmospheric murmurs and echos.
