The Bluecoat Display Centre is a haven for enthusiasts of everything exquisite in the field of contemporary craft and design. Situated in the heart of Liverpool (click here for a map).

Our friendly and knowledgeable team consisting of Maureen Bampton (Director), Samantha Rhodes (Assistant Director), along with gallery coordinators Jeanne-Marie Kenny and Frances Gill, offer specialist help and advice to anyone wishing to purchase, commission or collect contemporary crafts.

The Bluecoat Display Centre is a nationally and internationally recognised contemporary craft and design gallery that has been established since 1959. We sell, exhibit and promote over 350 selected contemporary craftspeople each year working in a broad variety of media.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has a regular bus (click here for further details) with Liverpool City Centre, or a taxi ride is approximately seven miles.

Follow signs for Liverpool City Centre. We recommend parking in Q-Park, Hanover St. Or alternatively, Liverpool ONE has three new car parks: Q-Park Strand Street, Q-Park Gradwell Street and Q-Park John Lewis.

Disabled Parking: There are 3 designated parking bays on Duke St, 3 on Bold St, and 5 on Wood Street. All are within close proximity to the Bluecoat Display Centre.

Mersey Maritime

Bluecoat Display Centre is an independent contemporary craft organisation based at the Bluecoat since 1959. Mersey Maritime features visually stunning work celebrating the arrival of the Ocean Queens commissioned by the country's leading artists and featuring Rebecca Gouldson's metal work, Eleanor Bolton's jewellery, Claire Brewster's paper work and furniture by Ed Teasdale. Light Night at the Bluecoat Display Centre will be the opportunity to see a private view of the work accompanied by free refreshments and live acoustic music by Liverpool's own Mark Byrne.
