The facilities of this beautiful and historic building have been upgraded and in the Main Hall we have a fully functioning venue with an inspiring multi-purpose space.

As well as providing a base for a busy and varied programme of Arts events, the Main Hall is also available for hire. It is ideal for anyone who would like to put on a concert or event and can accommodate conferences, presentations, workshops and large meetings. It is also a perfect setting for those special occasions or celebrations, such as retirement, leaving or birthday parties, ceilidhs and wedding receptions.

The Late Shows: Meet the East Street Artists

Join the artists of East Street Arts at their Gateshead Old Town Hall studios to learn about what we do and see us at work. There’ll be interactive collage, painting demonstrations, video installations, sculpture and printmaking. Head on down!

The Late Shows: Open-Mic at GOTH

  • 16 May 2015 6-11pm

There’s loads going on at Gateshead Old Town Hall. GOTH’s own cafe bar ‘Somethin’s Brewin’’ will host an open mic night, serving up not only tasty treats and delicious drinks but a full evening of live music! Sage Gateshead musician Dave Wood will be our compère for the night. If you fancy a go, just let him know, or if you prefer, just sit back and enjoy the show.
