In the Herb Garden at Eastbury, Wild Dying.

Using herbs such as woad and weld and vegetables such as onion skins and beetroot from Eastbury’s garden you will be shown how to make natural colours for dying. The workshop will include a talk about herbs and an opportunity to dye something to take home with you. Please wear appropriate clothing for being outdoors and for dying. Book on 0208 724 1002.

Vintage Day

Spend a leisurely day at Eastbury to celebrate all things ‘vintage’. Clothes, jewellery, accessories, and a pop-up hair stylist will be on site. Come and enjoy your favourite hits from the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, play timeless family games and dress up in classic clothes from a bygone era. For children there will be cup cake decorating and eating - no doubt!

Eastbury Manor House London Open Gardens Squares Day

Explore our gardens and find out about our plans for Eastbury. Learn about the medicinal herbs that were used in Tudor times and talk to our gardeners for some tips and suggestions. Listen to a talk about Tudor gardens and gardeners, sample local produce from Dagenham and buy some plants. Children can come along and make willow bird feeders and enjoy a walk exploring the unusual herbs in the herb garden. Talks with Q&A at 11:30am and 14:30pm; children’s crafts in the garden from 10:30am to 15:00pm.
