Nyth Grug - Heather Nest

This exhibition is a real adventure into the many faces of creative expression. As well as individual work produced by Welson with brightly coloured paintings of butterflies and flowers, there are a series of joint works produced with artists from around the world. One series are collages on the theme of Alice in Wonderland with writer and collage maker John Richardson. There are also joint works inspired by the French poet Andre Breton's long poem Arcane 17.

Join us for an out of hours visit to Rhayader Museum & Gallery and browse the current exhibition, Nyth Grug-Heather Nest before being spirited away to a long lost world with tales of the Mabinogi told by renowned storyteller Tamar Williams, who was Young Storyteller of the Year 2013. After her performance, we will have a traditional May Fair supper of Cawl or Vegetable Soup with home-made rustic bread, followed by a selection of cake. There will be further opportunities to listen in 'the room of many voices' to our collection of local reminiscences.
