But Not Forgotten

  • 4 — 31 August 2014 *on now

‘But Not Forgotten’ is a new exhibition at Leeds City Museum which has been specially commissioned by Leeds Museums & Galleries to commemorate the Centenary of the First World War.

The exhibition is a poignant and reflective installation examining the First World War through letters, photographs and objects in Leeds Museums & Galleries’ collection. Writer Mary Cooper and photographer Ian Glover produced the newly commissioned creative pieces and film which feature in the exhibition and explore imagined attitudes to the First World War.

At the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, we invite you to listen to the piece and pause for a moment of reflection.

The exhibtion will begin with a special commemorative opening of the museum on 4th August at 14:00.
