Trees for Cities

Education is a vital part of Trees for Cities' role in greening urban areas. Over the years our projects have involved schools all over London and the workshops delivered by the Community and Education team have proven to be a great success and a lot of fun!

Our workshops focus on Key Stage 2 (primary years 4 - 6), however, the workshops can be targeted to suit a range of age groups and abilities from early years, through Key Stages 1 to 4 (primary & secondary). We aim to teach children and young people the value of trees and green spaces and to enthuse them to become active in improving their local environment.

By encouraging children and young people to express their views, opinions and ideas about their local areas we can ensure that the local environment works for them, from wildlife gardens in their school grounds to trees, shrubs and flowers in their local parks.
