North West Surrey Synagogue

NWSS is a Progressive Jewish community, affiliated to the Movement for Reform Judaism. As such, we recognise Judaism as a living tradition. We draw our strength and direction from the Torah, from the rich Rabbinical interpretations of the Talmud and the continuing history of Judaism. We seek to implement the practice of Judaism in a way which is rooted in tradition and modern in practice.

In 2008 we celebrated the fortieth anniversary of North West Surrey Synagogue. The synagogue is in Weybridge; our members come from a wide area around this part of Surrey. If you would like to attend a service or have any questions about joining the community we would be delighted to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

School Visits

NWSS has for many years welcomed Surrey school children to guided tours of the synagogue giving them the opportunity of experiencing a Jewish place of worship, gaining some knowledge of Jewish traditions and practices with the opportunity to see the Torah scrolls and other traditional artifacts. Each year about a hundred schools take the opportunity of these visits.
