The Sunflower House is without a doubt one of the most famous landmarks in Stevenage, and has been a talking point in the area since Gordana Bjelic-Rados decided to paint an enormous mural on the side and roof of her house in 1997. She continued the project inside after a great deal of public interest in her design. The house is now, on occasion, open to the public to view the fantastic and quirky artwork.
