Somerset Wildlife Trust is the county's leading environmental and conservation organisation. Our goal is to build a landscape rich in wildlife where people live in harmony with nature. We want to restore our local landscape, and therefore recreate it, resulting in reconnecting large areas of land where wildlife can move around and thrive. Our vision for A Living Landscape involves enlarging, improving and joining up areas of land on nature reserves, in towns and in partnership with other landowners. Our Living Landscape schemes in Somerset - on Mendip and the Brue Valley - are creating inspirational, accessible landscapes full of wildlife and rich in opportunities for learning, better health and wellbeing, alongside sustainable economic development.
