Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is an organisation born out of the passion and desire of one remarkable individual determined to do his bit to help endangered species worldwide. Gerry Durrell's devotion to conservation was evident from an early age and he continued his work right up until his death in 1995. Saving species from extinction is exactly what Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust has been doing for fifty years. While many think halting the terrifying rate of extinction of animal species is a lost cause, Durrell, as a charitable organisation, has made it our mission to do what we can to protect endangered animals across the planet.

Durrell's Dodo Club is based at Durrell's Jersey headquarters where members can come face to face with some of the world's most endangered and extraordinary animals. You'll spend loads of time outdoors, learn about the animals Durrell is saving from extinction, meet new friends and have the opportunity to come along to Dodo Club workshops during the school holidays. And, what's more, your Dodo Club membership will entitle you to visit Durrell as often as you like, free of charge! All of our Dodo Club members receive a regular newsletter and colour poster and can participate in our special Conservation Award scheme.
