Extensive coastal area around the fishing village of Brancaster Staithe, famous for wild birds.
As well as the site of the Roman fort of Branodunum and Scolt Head Island (to which there is a private ferry service), there are tidal mud and sandflats and saltmarshes to explore. For those who prefer a more structured visit, there is the well-resourced Brancaster Millennium Activity Centre, which offers residential and day courses for families, adults and school groups. The centre also delivers its innovative Energy Busters Outreach Programme, exploring ways to reduce carbon footprints with schools and colleges in Norfolk.

Also a different type of movement - that of visual movement - the snaking water in the creaks, the patterns of the sand on the beach etc. This workshop weekend is suitable for all levels of experience, digital SLR or compact cameras.
