Bruno runs interactive workshops on sustainability in the built environment. Each workshop is unique because they're tailored to school needs. In the past schools have asked that the sessions focus on energy and water, materials, climate change, delighting the user, ethical building practice or healthy environments.
Why?
Some schools have wanted to involve their students' in the Building Schools for the Future or Academy programmes and requested a consultation in the format of an off-timetable, maximum-participation day. Others have asked for an assembly to fit in with a science week and others wanted to enrich their design and technology curriculum with a 'green' theme.
Where?
The workshops can take place in-school or at a building of interest (e.g. Royal Festival Hall or a super-sustainable home). They can last a day or an hour and group size can vary from 9 students to 90.
Who?
Bruno is a qualified secondary teacher, a Science and Engineering Ambassador and has 3 years experience in this area from his work as a Sustainability Consultant at Arup, at the Sorrell Foundation and on behalf of Open House.
