Heritage Open Days 2014: Knowle West Media Centre

  • 13 September 2014

The previous base for Knowle West Media centre was in the old William Budd Health Centre. They needed a venue to match the quality media work being produced so they ran the Archimedia Project, working with young people to gather ideas, consult with residents, devise a brief and recruit the architects. The new building opened in April 2008 - a modern, creative and climate-friendly facility for the whole community to enjoy. Visit their straw-bale building and see a new exhibition celebrating local tattoo culture. Explore the new exhibition through an interactive virtual mirror and add your tattoo to the collection in the Mobile Tattoo Booth. Take a tour of the building and find out more.

Please refer to the Heritage Open Days website for booking details and timings. On Thursday, there will be a Family History Help Desk.
