What Are You Like?

20 April — 16 June 2013 *on now

What Are You Like was a Victorian parlour game in which players were asked to describe themselves by doing a series of drawings of their favourite things.

For this exhibition an eclectic group of forty-five well-known personalities from the worlds of fashion, illustration, journalism and more, were invited to present their answers in a series of delightfully quirky, intriguing and often humorous artworks.

Curated by Quentin Blake on behalf of the House of Illustration, this collection of cryptic self-portraits includes Andrew Marr, Eric Clapton, Eric Carle, Sir Paul Smith and Shirley Hughes.
