East Street Arts (ESA) is a contemporary arts organisation in Leeds. Our mission is to focus on the development of artists through our events programme, professional development and studio/facility provision.

We take a holistic approach to working with artists on a professional level to empower them to realise their potential. ESA operates three sites: Patrick Studios (ESA headquarters), Beaver and Barkston Studios and also run a range of offsite projects.

ESA provides professional workspaces, development and training, and IT support for visual artists. ESA's Public Programme is core to the development of the organisation's public profile offering a variety of audiences access to and engagement with contemporary art practice and artists.

Open Studios

  • 14 May 2016 6-11pm

Join us on an exploration of the old Victorian police cells and assist in the creation of a large-scale installation. There will be hourly printmaking demonstrations inspired by natural forms with printmaker Cath Walshaw. Artists will also be on hand to talk about their working processes, so pop along to participate and purchase works of art from locally based artists.
