trace: exists in order to promote time based art and work emerging from performance, installation, sonic & interactive arts.
We do this by :
- Producing regular events and exhibition
- Inviting artists to produce time based work that has an installation exhibition component
- Promoting work at a local, national and international level
- Working with artists and arts agencies to promote work at these levels
- Publishing research that arises form our activities [catalogues, books, videos, CD's]
- Creating an environment for the discourse and dissemination of time based art
- Maintaining an independent artist lead initiative
