Formby's Footprints Walk

Discover the fascinating story of Formby's prehistoric footprints and search for traces on the foreshore with one of our archaeology experts. Children over 12 are welcome.

Killerton Woods

Geo-caching Taster Event

  • 11 October 2014 11am-2pm

A treasure hunt for the modern age. Geo-caching is the best way to get your kids and teens out and about, they don't even notice they are exercising once they take control of the GPS a hand held Global Positioning System.

Help will be on hand to get you through any technical teezers from 11:00 until 14:00. Alternatively you can download an app to your own GPS device or smart phone. So why not get fresh air in your lungs searching National Trust at Formby for hidden caches?

Please book in advance if you wish to loan a GPS device.

Squirrel Cycle Tour

  • 25 October 2014 10:30am-1pm

The route will take you from National Trust across the landscape using paths and roads into Southport from where you can make your way home or get the train back to Formby. The ride will take about three hours including an update on Formby's squirrels and a stop at Ainsdale Sand Dunes National Nature Reserve for refreshments and to learn some more about the conservation of these fantastic creatures.
