Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums Crest

The Sandhurst and Districts Corps of Drums is a local charity established to offer the children and young people of Sandhurst and the surrounding areas an opportunity to take part in a very different type of activity. Its main aim is on building the confidence of its members by way of performance in a traditional military style marching band.

The Drum Corps are currently looking for sponsorship to fund the building of their own rehearsal hall. To give £5 text: SDCD001 to 70970

The Last Post Project 2015

The Last Post is a First World War centenary project bringing communities across the UK together to commemorate the Anniversary marking the 2015 centenary of the Gallipoli Campaign. During the battle for Gallipoli soldiers from Britain and Ireland, France, French West Africa, India, Newfoundland, Turkey and Germany fought in terrible conditions.

The Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums will be remembering the 77 residence of Sandhurst who lost their live in the First World War.

The Camberley Youth Wind Orchestra will provide a range of music throughout the day and will be located outside the main marquee.
Those taking part are members of local schools and colleges and are between 7 and 18 years old.

There is Lots to see and do…

There are a series of donkey races with special events where you may have the opportunity to become a jockey and have everyone cheer you on! There are fairground rides for the young at heart and many stalls from the surrounding area where you may win a prize, find out about a local group like the Sandhurst Drums or bag a bargain! When you are in need of refreshment come into the tea tent put your feet up and indulge in cup of tea and a cake.

Sandhurst & District Corps of Drums on the march

Woodley Carnival Procession

  • 13 June 2015 12-2:30pm

The procession will assemble in Comet Way from 11am for a prompt move off at 12 noon. There are three stops along the route.
◦1st stop : Church Road stretching back to St Johns Church
◦2nd stop : Howth Drive, first float stops at the mini roundabout at Woodlands Avenue
◦3rd stop : Foster Lane, stretching back to Crockhamwell Road

The floats will be entering the Memorial Ground this year and will pass through without stopping, finishing at the end of Haddon Drive.

Many of the floats will be collecting funds for their own school or charity, so make sure you have your spare change ready.
