This tranquil woodland garden, especially spectacular in early summer, includes more than 70 varieties of rhododendrons, plus azaleas, hollies and hostas. At its heart is a delightful walled area with a pergola and wire sculptures.

The surrounding parkland has an attractive permitted path to nearby Alderley Edge.

Join the ranger for a night time walk around the property, plus learn about the nocturnal habits of the wildlife in the woodlands and ponds. Put your night vision to the test by looking out for our resident bats and owls and find out why they prefer the night time.

50 Things Activity Week

As you wander around our garden, discover a variety of self-led activities to keep you amused and bemused. Cheer along your snail and when the race is over, why not stay to forage for natural things to create your very own artistic masterpiece to take home. Create some music with a grass trumpet or design some Jewellery with our daisies, or if you are brave enough why not dip a net into a pond, or hunt for bugs, who know if you are really brave you could even hold a scary beast.

Autumn Leaves Walk

What could be nicer than a wonderful Autumn walk, so why not join our Ranger for an informal stroll around the estate. The tree colours are fabulous at this time and natures harvest is around for all to see. Our Ranger will be on hand to talk you through the plans for the estate and of course, help with any questions you may have.
