A letter from the front

  • 2 August 2014 11am-4pm

Everyone is welcome to see a display of WW1 letters, cards and other memorabilia which will be changed during the day. Exhibits include the role played by women; an eye witness account of the Battle of the Bight; trench art; the personal archive of a prisoner held in Freiburg POW Camp; original photographs taken by the RFC and of the Kynoch munitions factory. The focus will be on the experiences of ordinary men and women who did extraordinary things that was to change the world.
