The Festival of Archaeology 2014 runs from 12-27 July! Co-ordinated by the Council for British Archaeology, the Festival offers over 1,000 events nationwide, organised by museums, heritage organisations, national and country parks, universities, local societies, and community archaeologists

Festival of Archaeology 2014: Elizabethan extravaganza! Rural Tudor craft day

Take part in traditional crafts such as candle making and spinning, meet
costumed Elizabethans and musicians, sample food and drink of the
day, listen to a wise woman share stories of myth and folklore and
hold birds of prey. All this and much more…
