Service of Rememberance: 100 years since the Gallipoli Campaign

  • 7 June 2015 1:30-3:45pm

In June 2015, we are commemorating 100 years since the Battle of Gallipoli. The battle plays an important part in our local history – as many Oldham residents fought, died and were injured during these months.

We are planning to hold a Service of Remembrance on Sunday 7 June at the Parish Church, Oldham, 2pm.

Come along and commemorate the 90 Oldhamers that died on 4 June 1915.

We would like anyone who has information about people who fought at Gallipoli to come forward with stories and to walk alongside the mayor and members of the armed forces from the Civic Centre to the Parish Church from 1.30pm.

If you have any information about the Gallipoli Battle, email: oldhamremembers@oldham.gov.uk or call 0161 770 3297
